The State of Our Urban Forest

Recent damage to purple plum, Veteran's Park

The State of Our Urban Forest is a report prepared by Tom Kimmerer in 2012 to bring attention to the very poor management of trees on public property in Lexington, KY.  Since its publication, this white paper has received considerable attention and has had some influence on urban forest management in Lexington.  However, we still have  along way to go. This report will be updated in the Fall of 2014.
